Progress on My Red Painting

Here is the progress I've made on this painting. I think it's finished. Any opinions? I'm so grateful when you tell me your honest opinion. Honestly, I am.

Remember this? My hand cut stamps? My sister ( the one who is an art teacher) loves these and she suggested I make pins out of them for Christmas presents. We talked about how to do it and then I remembered all the polymer clay I have waiting for me. I'd read about making photo transfers to the clay so that's what I'm going to try. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll have to do it on Friday because tomorrow is booked up and I probably won't even get into my studio until Friday. Some year I will be ahead of things and make Christmas gifts before Thanksgiving. But don't hold your breath.

Love The Red Painting. That has to be its title 'The Red Painting' by Deborah Ross hehehe. I would try putting a little extra paint on the birds to make them more part of the painting rather than sitting on top. Not the whole bird as they look great as a line drawing but maybe a little orange wash on the wings or something like that. I had another close look and those subtle layers are just divine. Good job Deborah. I want to see more :)

Uta, I like the title! Yes, I thought I should do something to the birds but couldn't figure it out, so thanks! I'll try that.
Manon, thanks for your support. I like 'The Red Painting' for a title. What do you think?

Deborah, love the red painting. Keep on going! And the pins from that wonderful hand cut stamped figure would be awesome. Can't wait to see how you do it!

I love the Red Painting, Deborah!

The illustrated birds and plants look charming and whimsical!

I really like how some of the circles were left uncolored. It has an unfinished yet finished look!

Very neat and fun!
