A New Wild Painting

This is top secret. My son has been warned not to check my blog until after Christmas. I arranged that so I can show you what has taken most of two weeks in the studio. This is so unlike anything I've ever done and I hope he likes it. This photo is showing some white cloudy areas which are not really there. A lot of time was taken on the background. I used some of my hand carved printing blocks and lots of layers of glazes and washes. It looks darker than this photo shows.

Acrylic, 24x24
Now I can get an early start in my studio tomorrow, and there is plenty to do. But I only have seven on my list now. :-)

Oh WOW, Deborah! The colors here are very exciting. Gorgeous cat, absolutely gorgeous. And I can see the different textures in the background. I bet it looks even better in person. Your son is going to flip!

And by the way, I adore your banner, too!

Thank you so much for your kind and loving words. And thank you for the hugs, which I warmly return.

Ooooh, I like this, Deborah!

I love all of the colors you pumped into the background.

Don't worry, it's our little secret!
