Then yesterday I read an article in the September 2009 Artist's Magazine. You have to look at it! Ann Bagby shows how she put her mixed media portraits together. So I got inspired......now I would cut my own stamps and prepare a background for the miniature portraits! New energy for new work!! So far I have only cut the stamps and drawn one portrait, though I am in the middle of printing my papers. Also, when I get tired of working tiny, I'm switching off to the first of my colored pencil portraits of the most adorable twins, above.
Below is the miniature portrait, showing up about twice the size it really is.

Great work Deborah! They're so tiny!
I get frustrated so often by some of the women in my journal because they're small .... miniatures would drive me crazy.
Hey Deborah! You doing such a good job ! The miniature painting is a real tough job. I also make it and get really bored some time but when the real output comes I feel really proud...:)

Thanks, Manon...I think this is my last go at miniatures. Too many large canvases sitting around. ( I got them on sale) :-)
Megha, thanks for visiting my blog and giving me encouragement.
Miniatures are such a challenge. I admire you for doing them. Your work is wonderful.
