Just saw my latest commission leave with a very happy customer. It was more difficult than I thought, because he wanted a black and white pencil drawing but he gave me color photos. And the hardest part was that most of the subject is a statue, I guess it's brass, but very dark. If you email me with the location of this statue, I'll send you a small painting. I think the only one of my readers who might know this is the Divine Miss M. Not Bette. The other one.

This is pretty cool...and I love public art. In Somerville, MA, there are some benches with(I think) bronze sculptures of people seated and random items on the benches. You did a nice job with this. I think Dean makes a good point, I wonder if I would be able to make the sculpture look like a sculpture and not a person sitting on the bench!

I love public art, too, Paula. My son worked at Bubba Gump's in Charleston when he went to college. They had a similar bench with a suitcase and a box of chocolates that looked real and people tried to pick them up.
