Chugging Along, Like the Little Engine

Chug, chug, phew! Working is a lot harder when you  don't feel well. But I've gotten out in my studio and finished organizing, and I've taken stock of what I have going on. Too much, is what. I have three canvases started, a new cp piece I decided I didn't like, and now this acrylic on water color paper, and who knows why I chose to do that? I've never ever used paper for an acrylic.

This is from a series of pictures I took in the airport in Atlanta. The light is what I like in this, and that will be evident after I get more paint on. I might use colored pencils or markers, I'm not sure.

And then, as if I don't have enough going on, I got a box full of polymer clay and clay tools in the mail today. Fun! I have some vague idea of combining the clay with my paintings, or in the paintings.

Oh my, I can't wait to see the finished work. You sound a lot like me with so many projects - can't imagine how people get bored. The clay is something I've always wanted to try. Let me know how that goes

Wow...looks like 2009 is going to be a multimedia year for you! Can't wait to see the results! I like the airport painting...I guess because I have so many "at the airport" sketches in my sketch books, it's nice to see someone else's take on that scene, and now I'm thinking it would be nice to add some color to mine. Once again, thanks for the inspiration! Hope you're feeling better soon and congrats on cleaning and organizing your studio...maybe you will inspire me to do the same!!!

Thanks, Uta and Odd Chick, thanks for your encouragement. I need it and it means so much to me to get your comments.
Paula, yes, let's do a series of airport paintings. I can see yours in my head. They all have purple shadows....I love how you do that!

This is off to a great start! The clay with your paintings sounds interesting. I bought some polymer and air dry clay before Christmas with a mind to create little cabachon faces for painting and crafting.

With Aaron still on school holidays, I am still in holiday mode so haven't gotten back into painting yet. I am slowly doing little bits of craft stuff in the studio though so I don't think it will be too long before I pick up a paintbrush.

Hi, I'm new to your site, but came here via Uta (a great artist who works collage magic). Anway, I love your watercolor here. The values are awesome. I can't wait to see how it progresses. I am a watercolorist, acrylic painter, photographer and more recently a blog searcher who gets lost for hours on the internet, mesmorized by everyone's creativity. We have something in common. Hope you will peek at my seek and I will be a regular visitor at yours!

P.S. I meant peek at my site, not peek at my seek. Sorry for the word jumble, I think I need more coffee.
