New Hand Cut Stamps

I've been busy busy cutting some new stamps to use in backgrounds or for collages. Trying all sorts of surfaces to see what works the best. So far that's Mastercarve. It's easy to cut and it prints well.

And remember my mermaid? Well, she is now a lump of clay because I was making  her too big for what I needed. More on that soon.

See the above Chinese characters? I was so careful about drawing them and then cutting them perfectly. After I printed them, I realized they are backwards! I never even thought about reversing them while drawing them. So much for my Masters degree!

Great stamps Deborah! I had a chuckle about the Chinese lettering being backward. Girl you are not the only one to do stuff like that! :-)

The leafs seem to be falling in the one, I had a friend work on an etching for 5 days when I reminded her of the reverse image..she freaked.

Wow Deb, these stamps are F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!! Sorry I haven't been visiting blogs lately...or my studio either...I got a new job and although I like it, I am pretty absorbed in it at the moment...looking forward to getting more in the comfort zone so I can get back to painting, blogging, and enjoying other blogs! Your work has really grown. I hope you are pleased with it.
