So. Here are some new paintings I've been working on. I've used lots of interference paints in thin glazes. The seagull only needs a few details. The painting below has collaged flower parts and I'm going to add a butterfly, so check back to see how that works.
I have to plug Patti Brady's new book, Rethinking Acrylics. She gives so many short lessons on how to use various acrylic mediums that this book is going to be a staple for me. I don't think I'll ever run out of ideas if I just apply and combine various techniques. You really should get it. Even if you don't paint in acrylics, you might want to when you read this book.
These are all unfinished but only have a short way to go. Oh! I don't want to forget to tell you about the International Collage Exchange. Over 100 artists from all over the world participated, and you can see the exhibit online ( and even have a chance to buy one if you want) at the site where Dale Copelands has put in hours, no, I'm sure days, of work to organize everything.

You're definitely in my thoughts and prayers and I hope those processes bring the relief you need. Thanks for the tip on that book...I could really use it. I don't use mediums but I must admit, I am intrigued by them and would like to learn more about them. I like these pieces, particularly the dragonflies!
Hi - just found your blog thru a comment you left somewhere else, and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed looked at your blog and your artwork. Gorgeous stuff!
What a great job. I hope that you will be feeling better soon.
