Monday, Monday

Cooper decided to keep still for a second so I could take his picture. The only time he stops is when he's sleeping. I got some good shots, but this is the best. Now, to find the time to start drawing it......

Saturday Chores
14x11

This is finally finished, I think. I have to look at my work for a few days before I know it's really finished. Now there are six pieces with the chair included. They are all different sizes. I have a few more to do and then I'll make decision about how to sell them.

Decisions.....today I made some! One, I'll open an Etsy store to see how that goes. I will offer my art work, some note cards, and some of the jewelry I have left. It will be interesting to see how things go. Two, I will finally get my website finished. I started to put it together in April and it's just been sitting there. That will be done by the weekend.

Tomorrow I'll be at Blue Skies, where I'll work on a new piece. And on Wednesday, Ilse and I are venturing to Norfolk and Virginia Beach to shop at Jerry's Artarama and take pictures at the Norfolk Zoo. I have so many great pictures to work from but none of animals, so I'm excited.

Deborah, I can truly relate to your blog... Battling (and mostly winning) chronic pain in my back, neck shoulders knees, etc... I find it difficult to make goals and then follow through on execution. As a result, it's been a while since I wrote down my goals. IT's a good idea to spell them out in a blog b/c there is definitely a sense of accountability there. I set up my blog in late May and I'm on my 65th post. I haven't always got a new painting to share but I do my best. I try not to be my old "type A" self, but extend some grace to myself if I've overextended my energy on a goal or a specific task.
I am a certified management accountant unable to work due to my chronic pain. I'll keep an eye on your blog from now on... thanks,
Cheryl

I like your chair series and I love Cooper! What a great little model! It will be fun getting pics of the animals at the zoo. I took my sketchbook to a county fair last week and did some real quick gesture drawings of the animals in addition to taking some pictures because I am also looking forward to painting them.

I'm proud of you, Mom! Way to go with your goals for this week. Mine is still to get my personal statement done and application to residency finalized...ugh.I like the last picture of the chair. As far as Cooper's photo, looks like it may be a great one to draw/paint due to the interesting lighting.Talk to you soon.love you

Cooper is generous to pose.... super to have caught his gaze so you can paint him with his eyes open ;0)

Way to GO, Deborah! Stated intentions are powerful things indeed, so you're going to be a rocket in the coming weeks. I hope you'll post the link to your new Etsy store and keep us all posted on the synchronicities and miracles along the way.

This came out nice - better to paint the Saturday chores than actually do them I say.
