On Monday a friend and I drove to Montpelier, where neither of us had been before. It took us about an hour and a half to get there.I was so excited because it was out in the country and I've been wanting to get pictures of cows for awhile now. We went to deliver two of my paintings to a show. The art center was in an old schoolhouse, very interesting. And they had a collage exhibit which was outstanding. After looking around and having lunch we found the cows!
He doesn't look very friendly, does he?
Here it is not even the end of February and I've been accepted in two juried shows and I've applied to two more which I'll hear about in April. I also applied to the Vermont Studio Center and I'm keeping my fingers crossed about that.
So, yes, I am going to be posting art soon! I have two colored pencil portraits to finish and at least six paintings worked out in my head. Don't give up on me. :-)

I won't give up on you Deborah. I know you are creating something even if its not a painting :)
Je ne voudrais pas le rencontrer celui-là !!!
Congratulations on the success of your paintings, Deborah. I'm going right now to check out your new blog!
And I LOVE the cow. I hope you will paint it in all its ferociousness!
Don't worry, Deborah. You're moving along slowly but surely but at least you're moving along!
