Missing But Still Here

Hello, all of my readers and friends, or actually, you are all one....all my friends. Thank you for sticking by me lately. I've been very disorganized and can't seem to find space to work on all the things I'm thinking of. Really I need to write all of these ideas down before I lose them. My mind has been very creative lately, it's just my hands that can't get in sync with my mind. But I've been here. I've been checking on all my favorites, and now there must be thirty blogs I check on every few days. In fact, checking on blogs keeps me from being productive in my studio. So, tomorrow after a doctor's appointment I will make myself write down all of the ideas I have. Writing seems to cement things for me.

I'm going to start a colored pencil painting of a cat with some lettering, which will be stamped. I had this idea for the Explore This show, but as you can see, it will be too late to finish now. I have been working on two paintings. One is almost finished and I'll post that tomorrow. The other one is going to need some revisions. It's just that I'm so insecure about my paintings. It seems like the less time I take, the better the result. Sigh.....

I'm leaving you with this thought......what you see here is what I always see. I'm thinking of doing a large painting called 'View From a Wheelchair'.

I would love to see this painting! It would be a bit humorous on one level, and thought provoking on another. I paint with someone who has to remain seated now and it has changed her viewpoint in her paintings but they are still as dynamic and successful as they always were. Good luck as you work through your block...you know you will be ok. We all get them for a variety of reasons, but remember to hang in there. Getting through it will make you that much stronger.

Thank you, Deborah, for your encouraging comment. Today's being extra hard for some reason and your kindness and direction mean a lot. I see you're having your own struggles. I guess we both need to set our priorities and let the rest fall away right now. Oh, and your "view from a wheelchair" is reason enough for me to drop a few pounds... Yikes!

Love the idea Deborah. I would love to see your view of the world.

Oh Deborah. A big hug.
Paula has said it eloquently. I seems no matter what your level of painting, you struggle at times and then stuff falls off your brush at other times. I'm glad you're still here.
My friend has MS and uses a wheelchair. She says, "you know what you see from wheel chair? Little kids faces and lots of asses."
Your work is lovely.

"The less time I take the better the result" -- very important observation! Depending on the kind of work I'm doing I have the same experience. The energy of spontanaeity is an important element in most really fresh-looking art.

As for life at butt level, the pup I have right now will be a wheelchair dog one day. Ever thought of doing that?

Thank you, all. You just don't know how much your encouragement does for me.
And Andrea, I'd love to have a dog. I wouldn't qualify for a working dog, I'm too independent still. Maybe someday.

I love it! That is soo funny! Also, when I saw Karin Jurick's painting of "Walk Through" in International Artist, I was wondering how people might feel about having their backsides painted!
