UKCPS Annual Show

I have been knocked out by the spectacular colored pencil work that has won awards in the annual United Kingdom Colored Pencil Society Show! It seems to me that UK artists have an edge in the animal department. The fur! The details! Take a look. And also, our own Nicole Caulfield  has once again taken an award, and well deserved, too.

While I was on the phone today I sketched this little face.

I love this drawing, I love the dreamily pensive expression and the indication of vegetation on the side. Best of luck in your upcoming competitions, you really know how to handle colored pencils. (And your daughter resembles her Mom!She looks wonderful!) Glad to see you post again.

Wow, that's some doodle! ;)I saw Nicole's work this weekend and it's really out of this world - even up close it's hard to see how an ordinary pencil could produce such wonderful results!

Geez, I wish my drawings while talking on the phone turned out as good as this one. Well done, Deborah!
