Crash

I've been hit by some uncomfortable days this week, so not much has been accomplished, but I did get some work done on my fishing boys.  I know the rest of this will come together over the weekend. I tried to keep practicing my painting, but nothing worth showing.

And this morning! I decided to paint a green bowl I bought a few months ago at Blue Skies. I like to pick up unique pottery when I see it. Well, I put this bowl in my lap, grabbed my wheels, spun around to the table, and the bowl flew out of my lap as my cats headed for the hills. Crash!! I can't believe I did that!

There used to be some super glue in my junk drawer, but when I finally found it, I saw it had dried up long ago, so......then I decided to paint the pieces of the bowl, but tried to do it on a new canvas board, and realized I can't cheat, but must gesso first.

How frustrating! I love that you didn't give up and saw potential in painting the pieces of the bowl. Sounds like it was "one of those days!" Your fishing painting is really turning out well.

Wow, your fishing boys are coming along really nicely. The colors are brighter, and you added some really nice details.

I'm so sorry you're still having a little trouble these days. And I'm sorry about the bowl. But I'm sure you'll make the broken pieces look like a masterpiece. Feel better soon.

What rotten luck with the broken bowl but only an artist would turn it into something positive...clever thinking!
