Okay. I have no explanation for why this is not the photo I tagged for downloading. Ok Blogger. You win. So let's carry on. If you can see, I've worked on the background and shadows today and it seems like I'll never get done. Maybe tomorrow. This is what always happens when I can see the end coming..I start mentally planning what I'll do next. I really want to do a portrait, but I've been invited to submit work to a miniature show, so since I've sold the only miniatures I've ever done, it looks like I need to do some more.

I really enjoy watching your pieces come along. This is a great composition, and I hope you don't lose interest in it, because it looks like a really great piece in the making! Super nice rendering, particularly on that paper bag. I can almost hear the rustling sound of the brown paper!

Hi Deborah,
You have been busy! Congratulations on your successful shopping. What lovely objects you have found.

I really like this piece, especially your loose stroke and the lovely colours (I love the violet coloured bits on the bag and the reddish purple on the chair).

20 x 16, it must look most impressive in person! What paper are you using?

Can't wait to see this beautiful piece finished!!

Bella, thank you for the positive comments...I won't lose interest in this..too much time involved. And I was worried about the bag looking real enough, so thanks again.

Teresa, I'm using pastelbord which I,ve used since Nicole Caulfield introduced me to it on the cp cruise to Alaska. It's much faster to work on, but it sure eats pencils! I'm glad you liked the colors I'm using, it's sort of stepping out of my comfort zone.

Hi Deborah, Thanks for your compliments on my drawing at Inkfinger.us.

I just wanted you to know that Inkfinger is authored by TWO people.
Sutter does comics and silly drawings and I do more realistic stuff, so our site is more than the same thing over and over.
You have a great use of color, and I am glad I found your site! Thanks!
